Its financial initiation under ‘COMPONENT: 9 INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS TO COLLEGES’ is a great boon to the colleges that want to cope up with the recent trends and developments in the field of educational requirements in general and INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES, RENOVATION/UPGRADATION & EQUIPMENT in particular.

SIR CATTAMANCHI RAMALINGAREDDY COLLEGE - a college with Potential for Excellence, accredited three times with ‘A’ (CGPA 3.21) by NAAC, Bangalore, an Autonomous College & a college within the jurisdiction of Adikavi Nannayya University, Rajamahendravaram – is one of the lead colleges of the district, West Godavari, the granary of the sunrise state Andhra Pradesh.

It was established in the year 1945, the last year of World War II. Those hard times were known for utter poverty, terrible hunger and dreadful human suffering. In spite of these dire negative social conditions, the founders of the  college had the vision of  educating the absolutely uneducated  rural population of the right bank catchment of the river, Godavari. Ever since its inception in 1945 the college is committed to the cause of Nation Building by by catering to the educational need of the people of the area.

The institution works in tandem with its Vision & Mission. It prepares its students well, in facing the local, state, regional and global challenges. This endeavour of seven decades has been a success and it has been contributing its mite to the overall development of the student. In turn the alumni have brought laurels to the institution.
